• Explore career training options (DoD Skillbridge/Army Career Skills Program, fellowships, degrees, credentialing).
• Create master resumes (federal and private sector) and have your mentor and transition counselor review them. Try Hiring Our Heroes Resume Engine, visit your American Job Center, or check out Military OneSource for resume help.
• If starting a business, create a business development plan and identify anticipated financial requirements and sources of capital for your business. Visit the SBA Office of Veterans Business Development to find out how to get started.
• Join professional organizations in your area of interest.
• Clean up your social media pages.
• Continue networking.
