Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program Eligibility

The Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) provides long term care insurance to help pay for costs of care when you need help with activities you perform every day, such as bathing, dressing, eating, etc. Long term care is not covered by health insurance such as Medicare, TRICARE or traditional plans.

The program is available to active and retired members of the uniformed services, their relatives, and most Federal and U.S. Postal Service employees and annuitants, including relatives. For more information about this program, please visit their website at
