MILITARY STAR Card-A Force Multiplier for Your Earned Benefit

For more than 120 years, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service has provided a lifeline to those who wear their county's uniform. From the American frontier of yesteryear to Afghanistan today, the Exchange team is honored to serve those who serve.

Whether you retired last month or a decade ago, the Exchange is committed to meeting your needs while making life better for those who remain in uniform. A vital component of this service is the Exchange Credit Program's MILITARY STARR card, designed exclusively for Soldiers, families and retirees.

Over the last few months, the Exchange revamped the MILITARY STAR card with a new look and an updated rewards program. Most MILITARY STAR cardholders received their new card-complete with new patriotic imagery-in the fall. The updated card heralded a new opportunity to tangibly thank customers who shop their Exchange.

Now, each time a purchase is made with a MILITARY STAR, 2 points are earned for every $1 spent in Exchange stores, food courts, mall vendors and on Shoppers automatically receive a $20 Exchange rewards card for every 2,000 points earned. These cards can be redeemed anywhere Exchange gift cards are accepted.

The rewards program lets the Exchange say "thank you" for your military service and for shopping the Exchange. Throughout the decades, the Exchange has served alongside you and your family on the front lines and on the home front. Wherever your career took you, the Exchange team appreciated the opportunity to serve alongside you and thanks you for allowing us to continue to be of service.

At 10.49 percent, the MILITARY STAR card offers one of the lowest retail interest rates in the country-one that is given to every cardholder, regardless of age, rank or credit history. Additionally, there are no annual, late or over-limit fees. New cardholders even receive 10 percent off their first-day's purchase and every day shoppers who reach for their MILITARY STAR card take 10 percent off Exchange food court purchases, save 5 cents per gallon at Exchange gas stations and receive free standard shipping at

The entire military community benefits when you use your MILITARY STAR card. Because MILITARY STAR card transactions are processed in-house, costly merchant fees are avoided. Instead of paying bank fees for credit card processing, the Exchange can increase its support of critical Army quality-of-life programs. From February through December 2015, the Exchange avoided $17.4 million in merchant fees.

If you're a MILITARY STAR cardholder, thank you. If you're not yet a cardholder, find out more at

It's truly an honor to continue to serve you and your families. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our country.
